Their Love Story:

We met in our sophomore year of high school in Frankfort, Illinois. Being a White Sox fan, I noticed him wearing a player’s shirt on the team, and complimented him on it! We became good friends really quickly, liked each other on and off but never acted on it, followed by best friends, then eventually started dating once we finished college.

We planned a family game night for Joseph’s family and my mom came over to supposedly “pick up something of hers”. (What a trickster!) While I was showing her our Halloween decorations (it was October 28, 2017), Joseph lined up his fabulous nieces wearing shirts that said “Will you be our aunt?” on them. Once I read the shirts, he got on one knee and popped the question! It took me completely by surprise and took some time to take it all in, but of course, I said yes to my best friend!
